What if Longship does not accept/contract with my insurance?
SUPER BILL/DIRECT PAY
Direct pay/superbill is a great option. A patient pays the cost of the visit up front. Longship provides a detailed invoice, aka Superbill, which the patient submits to their insurance for reimbursement.
How do I find out my coverage for super-billing?
Most HMOs do not cover out-of-network. However, many other insurance options have some form of out-of-network coverage. Best practice is to reach out to your insurance company, ask about this option, how reimbursement works, and how reimbursement is covered.
